Welcome to the 2010-2011 season of the LSB Players!

We begin our season with the classic Broadway musical, West Side Story. This amazing piece of American theatre, conceived, directed and choreographed by the incomparable Jerome Robbins, takes Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to the streets of 1950's New York City.
This piece features a gorgeous score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim (in his Broadway debut), with songs like "I Feel Pretty," "Tonight" and "Somewhere," as well as exciting dance numbers and riveting stage combat. West Side Story will be directed and choreographed by Carly Evans and feature musical directrion by Michael Bunting; the pit orchestra will be conducted by Tom Grandprey. West Side Story will be performed in the Kirshner Auditorium on Wednesday, November 17, Thursday, November 18, Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Dinner and a Movie--A Night of Suspense
The second offering of the 2010-2011 LSB Players season will be directed by John Germanotta and featured in the Rogers Theatre. Why do we say "featured"? Our winter production will be a film! John Germanotta will take on the exciting task of creating and directing a film with our student actors, to bring you "Dinner and a Movie" in February. Please join us in our new endeavor in the Rogers Theatre on February 9, 10, 11, 12, all shows at 7:30 p.m. More information to follow.

The final full-stage offering of the 2010-2011 LSB Players will feature the definitive American play, Our Town, by Thornton Wilder. This show has been called, "the greatest American play ever written," a "deeply human" exploration of small town life, love and death. Our Town will be directed by Carly Evans and performed in the Rogers Theatre on May 5, 6, 7, all shows at 7:30pm.

Collage, an annual tradition, is a collection of student directed  one acts, scenes and shorts. This celebration of the Arts will occur June 10 and 11 at 7:30.
