Basic InformationGrading
- Quarter grade is 75% projects, 15% exercises (small, in class assignments), 10% vocabulary test
- Semester grade is 40% per quarter and 20% for final project (standard for L-S)
Working On Projects
- Most projects are done in the Scratch programming environment, a free visual programming tool that can be downloaded from here: Download Scratch
- Students are expected to work on and complete projects during class time. Excused absences may require that students spend time out of class; this should be arranged with the instructor and appropriate extensions will be granted.
Late Work
- For an excused absence, work should be turned in as soon as possible (for full credit), but obviously how quickly work can be made up varies with the situation.
- For late projects, points are deducted as per the rubric (usually 1-2 points off). However, all remaining points are still available. It is always worth turning in a project even if it is dramatically late.
